Default Good news... bad news..

Well the good news is that I think the local retailers are starting to realize the expansion of bowfishing. I'm starting to see alot more bowfishing stuff in the local stores. Gander for example is carrying both bare white and yellow jacket shafts, in addition to full arrows in both varieties with several different tips.

The bad news is that the prices are still pretty high, but if you only need one thing and don't want to pay shipping or wait, then I guess not so bad. I was really surprised to see the price of retrievers now...$99! WOW, that's a big jump... Well at least they are starting to respond to demand.

They all seem to stock up in the spring. But yea, still no competition to Extreme or Backwater. The new dealership, Your Time On The Water in Spring Grove said their prices will be close to the mail order suppliers, and they just made a big order from AMS & Innerloc.

The botom line is that the retail locations have to set their prices according to a profit margin. They also have more over head than the mail order suppliers to account for.

With shipping time in less than a week from most of the speciality mail order suppliers it pays to order from Bowfishing Extreme or Backwater.

Yes and no. Like Tom B said, if you only need an arrow or two, the stores might be cheaper when you figure the $5 or $8 for shipping. But if your stocking up, then on-line is the way to go IMO.

If there was a bowfishing "store" at our launch locations, I would probably think of something to buy every time we went out.

I think TOTWO is going to do well
