Default Crappie Surf and Turf

I dredged the crappie filets with seasoned corn meal and corn flour. Fried them in bacon grease. I had a skirt steak left over so made that, marinaded it in olive oil, garlic, onion, salt and pepper, grilled that along with some asparagus. Made some farro, that consisted of sauteed onion, garlic, broccoli, spinach, and farro. I had some jerk marinade left over, so I made a tartar sauce and mixed a little of the jerk marinade to make " jerk tartar sauce." It was excellent. I rarely will fry my fish, and never in bacon grease. Man what a treat, the fish took an a slight flavor of the bacon and a little smokey flavor. I would highly recommend it. Good Eats. Mops

The only thing tastier than bacon grease is the bacon it came from

Very true, I made the bacon as well. Cured and smoked it. It was a great batch.

Never tried it. Not a big fan of lamb. I'll try it, but I doubt its better then pork bacon.

Some swear by popping their popcorn in bacon grease. I tried it once and didn't like it.

It's good for frying fish as long as the bacon flavor doesn't become overly dominant. Peanut oil is great.

Perhaps your selling him short. Up to 10 is within the realm of reason, and I'm sure if he was wearing sandals that could increase to 20(sandals WITHOUT socks, that is).
