It's funny how each one of these ways has worked for us all and yet almost all of them tell you not to use the others?
Thanks Bill for getting a bunch of good tick remedies started.
I will start with the make the tick dizzy one next time I need to remove them from my dog or self.
Some don't like to touch them so maybe soap, matches, or tweezers would be better.

I tried the liquid soap thing last year in northern WI. It did not work for me. I put a glob of Palmolive dish soap on the tick...enough to completely cover it. I waited about 2 minutes and nothing happened. I washed off the soap and went back to the usual method....nothing like a heated fork tine up his azz.

I've always used a heated spoon touched to their backs, and "pop" out they come.

I touch the heated fork tine to my own butt and the tick just shoots out... Must be a blood pressure thing...
