If your staying in merrimac you'll be by the ferry. If your on the north side of the river look to your left and you'll see a railroad bridge going across the water. The northwest corner of that bridge has water that's about 8' that drops off to 22'. A good spot for walleyes this time of year. Bounce a jig/minnow combo from deep to shallow. East of the bridge about a mile along the north shore is a spot called "Breezy Point" you'll see it written on a wall on that north shore. There are a lot of submerged trees and old,old stumps that are good for walleye and crappie. You'll catch fish pretty much wherever you find structure. There's still quite a bit there. The lake is no where near what it used to be but it's ok. If you get a chance go to "Prarie Du Sac" dam. About 10 miles from you. Be careful fast water ! Careful in the lake too lots of stumps. Good luck.
Bravery and Fear are one in the same. It is how you react to them that determines which you have.
