The 29th thru the 2nd. Temps 60 during the day, 40's at night. Water temp 64 . River is low and slow. Crappie fishing sucked ! We, three of us, managed a measly 4 crappies, a bunch of sheephead and one 4 inch Walleye. Combine that with $329 for a new alternator on my truck and you have the makings of a crappola few days. I think the water temps are still a little too high for the crappies to start moving to the brush. Went all the way down to the Rat river and 10 or so spots in between, NADA. As for the turkey hunting phase of the trip, well we saw more turkeys than in any other year. Sadly they were all far out of range. Maybe a week or so and the crappie AND the Walleye will turn on.
Bravery and Fear are one in the same. It is how you react to them that determines which you have.
