Default Papoose skunking

PalosBob and I went out today hoping to try Maple Lake but both 95th St and Archer were closed down in that area due to flooding. So we head to the Lemont quarries and wanted to try Amato but the ice was not quick thick enough further out. Probably could have ice fished it but why chance it? Alas the scenery in that area has been destroyed by the wanna be park they are currently building.

Ended up at Papoose. Ice a solid 4 inches but neither of us landed any fish. Palos went out further out looking for 8 foot holes while I traveled parallel to the parking lot drilling holes into water so shallow it was solid weeds. I had 2 bites (one using a waxie and one using plastics), in 2 different holes but neither one hooked a fish. That was it!

Not looking good with the warmer temps and slushfest that are happening the next 3 to 4 days
