Mark - my brother-in-law no longer has his Grand Isle job as Pastor. They eliminated the church because so few people attended. Chris is back north of there about two hours at his and his wife's home now. They got hit hard by the floods and lost nearly everything. They spent about $10K to have a 3' wall built around their home because of the flooding. Well, this flood was a 1000 year flood and the water rose to 5 foot - or 2 feet above their wall. Sure was fun fishing that day - well except the smell of Pelican Island!!!! I thought I had a pretty strong stomach - playing with fish for a living and gutting deer and such. But, that stank almost had the old gag reflex going - lol! Pretty glad we weren't catching anything there and was VERY happy when you suggested moving - lol! You sure have a beautiful place and thank you so much for entertaining us! Someday, maybe me and the Mrs. will travel down there again and give you a holler!
I can imagine those BIG, flat flounder probably fight like a bluegill does where they kind've dig down sideways and fight like they're three times their size!!
