Default Lake Pepin...

Well, Fall is coming upon us and it is time to start getting ready to make two more runs up there. Last weekend my uncle and I set the dates for our fall trips in September and October and maybe one in Decmeber to do some ice fishing as well. Since we only made one trip this spring and the summer has been a bust due to the weather, going to have to make an extra winter run to get our fix. What a shame to have to go to such a beautiful place Anyone else planning on going back up in the fall? Were going the end of September and will be in the town of Pepin as ushual.

I live in Buffalo Grove, and pulling a boat up there it takes about 6 hours or so. But we can make it there in less depending on your speed

From my house it is easiest to take 53 back south to 90 then take 90 up to Lacrose folllow that over into Minnesota and then Cross back over into Wisconsin at the Wabasha, Mn crossing...Without traffic we can make it in alot less time but we always seem to get caught around the Dells area. According to Google it is only 340 miles from my front door to the Hotel where we stay at.

I can't do this fall, heading west for elk in a month. Would consider a spring trip, I assume the bite is good?

Spring is always good up there as well for the walleye and sauger. We get some killer gills and crappie up there as well, so if you ever wanna meet us up there, you are more than welcome to. I know you enjoyed Door County, so I know you will come to love Pepin as well. So will the girlfreind / wife (not sure which it is) as there is stuff close by for them to do. Wineries and small towns. My wife and I have a deal when she joins me up there, I can fish and she joins me, but we also have to explore the area. Places like Red Wing and Lake City and so on.
