The way it was explained to me, was when you upload a pic to photobucket, its THEIRS, they own it. They can do what they want with it.

Default Thanks for the information

Thanks all:

I have moved out of Illinois to Kentucky - but still visit and wanted to keep up with the fishing in the area.

I would use this exclusively if not for the fact that I can't upload more than a few photos before I have to delete old ones to stay under 10mb.
Hey,

I updated the attachment limit to unlimited. Happy uploading

Just to be clear, this is SOP for all hosting sites, including this one. Not sure why that would ever be a problem, after all, when you post a pic on the internet, it is forever.

I know of a fishing site that watermarks the pics uploaded to their gallery to prevent people from stealing pics

They started that when someone stole a Vexilar pic I made explaining how to read it and then claimed it was their own.

For determined content theives, watermarks don't slow them down much.

I scraped a bunch of photos from a Warrior Dash I ran with a bunch of friends. One guy's wife was a graphic designer, and she removed all the watermarks like it was nothing.

I understand the theory on how to do it, but never had that great of results. Of course, I don't spend all day every day with Photoshop. Anyways, point is, watermarking cuts down on it some, but not entirely.

You need to pay up to photobucket or attach directly to the post thru the attachment feature
