Woodland Years ago (and I mean 15 or so), I used to do pretty well by what is now the Sanctuary golf course on N. Marley Rd. I don't know if you can access it legally anymore as it's private land, but I used to park at the bridge and wade downstream a bit past the railroad trestle. I also used to bowfish for carp there.

Devestator If you are lookin for some good spots, you might want to try near the VFW. Between there and I-80 are some good spots. There is a small access road right off of Rt.30 under I-80, and the VFW parking lot. Good luck out there and let us know how you do!

fishslayer89 you probably got word of it indirectly from me. that area is not a super hot spot or anything access is easy there and that stretch recieves the brunt of the minimal pressure, access at bridges and Pilcher park

Hickory creek fishing in New lenox?

Heard somewhere that there was decent smallmouth fishing on Hickory Creek in New Lenox between I-80 & Gougar rd. I'm new to this area and would just like to know if anyone knows something about this spot? Is this a known "good spot"? Where do you gain access?

thanks!
