Team Illinois I finally left Illinois and their crooked politicians robbing me! Moved to Canton, GA on Lake Alatoona. 99% Spotted Bass / 1% LMB. Not a weed or lily pad to be found here. Army Corp of Engineer reservoir. There are some great fisherman here but they know their lake! Located in far northern suburbs of Atlanta. Lanier is 45 minutes away. Lake Hartwell is 2 hours away as well as Lake Guntersville.
Learn to throw a “ShakeyHead” in rocky ledges.

ilboynsc Altoona is tough that time of the year. I'd save my gas money, leave the boat at home and get a guide for Lanier for the day.

Lake Allatoona

Has anyone been to or heard much about Lake Allatoona in Georgia. I'll be going down there in June for a family reunion. I'm debating taking the boat and staying an extra day or two to fish...any info would help, thanks
