Was at Prairie Creek last night. The creek was at a great place. The river was fast but manageable.

Thanks for the report. I was wondering how the recent rains had affected conditions. I'd try the wading upstream (in the creek) during a time like this. Should be some smallie's, rock bass, and gar in there as well.

I figured closer to the confluence it'd be faster conditions

River has got to be up 15', very tough fishing. I'm with my son at the mouth of the creek and can barley fish. Seeing a lot of gar which he loves, we saw one nice smallie caught by the cross bridge.
