fryguy24 Well Sunday was a little better. Water temps came up to around 54-56 depending on where you were. We only managed 4 bites all day and came in with 10.95 lbs. we finished in 15 th place out of 37. Not a bad start to the season but not quite what I wanted either. The winner had 19.53lbs. We caught 3 of the 4 on soft plastics and one on a home made chatter bait. Looking forward to the water warming up and the river levels coming down.

Pool 13 5/1/14

Went out in Thursday to prefish for the upcoming AC tourney this Sunday. Water was high and cold the main river was 47 degrees and the warmest backwater we found was 50. It was cloudy with rain showers and cold with wind chills in the upper 30's. Needless to say it was tough out there managing only 2 bites both chunky keepers. We fished the whole day and both fish were caught on back to back casts. By the looks of the back waters the water temps had to be a lot warmer because there were quite a few pads already coming up. Still optimistic about the tourney Sunday because there is supposed to be a lot of sun on Saturday so that should warm the water a couple degrees. I will post an update after Sunday.
