Dupage Pond outing

Went to a few of my favorite retention ponds yesterday. Ice was 3.5 inches on one about 3 inches on the other. Kind of borderline for my liking.

Fishing was slow on normally productive waters. I also forgot to buy waxworms. DUH

That is probably why it was slow.

I did manage to lose a nice bass on a roach, that took my pole through the hole. I should know better by now. That is not the first time that happened. I caught a nice bluegill on one of my ponds on a green rapala jig.

If I had waxworms, I would have caught and Released over 20 nice gills on my favorite pond that are about 9 to 10 inches long.
