winnebasschamp Don't know if you realize it or not, but the dam is no longer there...
Fishing for cats should be just as good above as it is below. The holes are the key or set up on a good flat with moderate to no current in the evening. Once that sun settles it's game on! IMO for some reason the fishing isn't as good where the shorefisherman can fish from the state park. It's always the other side where they're not at that has better fishing... Not always true, but a small observation.

Hi I have heard of great success on the fox in the lower Wisconsin are from above the wilmette dam.

I have heard of more success in the lower wisconsin area for cats but below the wilmette dam in illinois not so much. Also I Have been out a bit and have had no luck in the norther illinois area. Is it because there area a huge cat population above the dam and they cannot come down over the dam? Any information is thankful thanks.
