Well thats good news to hear. Might I get some insight to where you fish around the cons. area launch? I almost always move up river, Mainly to avoid the boat traffic and a-holes. Also what your typical baits?

I've been fishing the river for 15 +/- years and Its my typical first pick for fishing around the southern chicagoland area.

Edit- I also guess I should point out that last year was the only year I never got out on the water.. so of course its my luck that kank was really good the one year I don't fish

Those are my home waters for the most part and last year was actually my best year ever in that stretch.

Kankakee, Des Plaines Cons. Area 6/22

Went out yesterday with some friends. We ended up not dropping the boat in the water till about 11:00am. The current was on the stronger side, almost too strong for where I wanted to fish. I had the trolling motor on full and it was inching up river. Bite was slow. We threw cranks the entire time. Lost a decent walleye and had a few small bass and cat. One of the least productive days Ive experienced there. The area just seems to be getting worse and worse these last few years.
