Creekyknees always happy to help

hipster78 Got out late yesterday thinking skunk, level way up and visibility maybe an inch. Threw a 1/2oz spinnerbait with a single #5 chart colorado blade, retrieve just fast enough to feel the thump of the blade. Got two bites in about an hour, then lost my bait in an overhanging tree. Thanks Creeky for the high, dirty water bait suggestions!

Creekyknees I was catching enough fish on top waters to make me happy.

the rain put the kibosh on the wading, was just starting to get manageable

top water bite was going well before the rain, one knock spooks and buzzbaits

Creeky, what do you consider going well? Do you mean going well based on the above average flow before the rain yesterday? That inch and a half of rain yesterday is really gonna put a damper on my fall bite unfortunately.

hipster78 QUOTE Thround Fished from 0700 till 1:30 out of area 9. Bass were very slow on topwaters, caught alot of drum and some dink bass on crawers on dead rods, but no cats or walleyes. Hope to hit the river hard in October!

The topwater bite will get better as long as the rain stays away and clarity improves, I'm hoping mid October on will be stellar. I've been told the walleye bite has been better later in the evening on rattling stickbaits.
