hipster78 Fall is looking promising. Won't have to worry about casting between mats of grass and moss in the lower park.

Any vegetation I saw that had been submerged, was dead, or non existent. Maybe some other areas that the willow didn't take a beating, there might be some, but the few spots I stopped at, had zero..

At 3.7, there were not many options. Grass is a mix of green/live and yellow/dead. 4ft high minimum. Depends on the bank slope. Bass looked good. Very heavy and thick. Lots of minnows. I tried a spinnerbait, but they just flashed it. Black/blue plastic was the choice. No hatch. Clarity 10" brownish heavy stain. Couldn't step off the bank because it would have been at my armpits.

Slough is a much better choice.

What a mess. Mud, silt, sand, grass, wood, debris all over the banks. Dead grass, no willow, etc..Bugs are horrible. Got 4 the other day. 16"-18". Tight to cover.

Redskin Didn't do to well this year. River being closed really hurt. Would be cool if the derby was in October- No mosquito's and chances of river being closed is very low.
