hipster78 Very nice, I always enjoy a "perched lake" report.

Polish Joe I've always done well shore fishing the windblown shore at H. Also if ya are up for a walk the natural shore line on the east side is a good spot to fish as well.

LetsGoFishing Looks like it was a good outing. I'm shorebound now, so I don't fish Heidecke much anymore, even though it's only a 20 minute drive from my house. But, like 2sac, I did pretty well in the early 90's. I have a 28" walleye on my wall that I caught form there when I was in 4th grade.

2sac Nice. Haven't been there since they shut the power off. I got a 2lb crappie hanging on my wall that I caught there in the early 90's

Heidecke report {pics}

Well, after years of asking, and I do mean years !...
Walleye_71 agreed to accompany me to a cooling lake. The forecasted wind had his panties in a bunch, but he put on his "big boy pants" and showed up at my house in the early a.m. The blustery winds on our arrival had us sneaking under the bridge with 2" to spare .

As expected, live bait worked best for us.

Here's Rich with one of the better smallies we caught.
His smile, shows that he was slowly becoming a "believer"

A few minutes later, I caught a nice fish.

The wind was really gearing up, so we snuck back under the bridge without a moment to spare. My TM scraped as we putted through...
We got into the walleyes pretty good and kept three for the pan and threw the rest back. Walleye_71 enjoyed catching walleye using his preferred method
Also, I must say he was a quick study in terms of keeping his offering in the "zone" near the rip rap. {and he thought I wasn't watching}

Have I converted Rich to a "perched lake" fisherman? I don't know. But at least he sees the potential.

.
