I got out for some walleye fishing this evening.
From a little after 5 pm until dark it was dead, and then the action picked up a little.
Short hits but then a few surprise hard hits.
The one in the picture is a 19 incher, the biggest. A few other smaller fish were caught also. 1/16 oz chartreuse jigs tipped with extra large minnows.

Nice Eye Ed!

Silly question (I haven't seen the river in a while - not sure if it is wadeable) - looks like you may have been fishing from shore?

If you don't mind, how were you presenting the jig/minnow?

Thanks,
Razzo

Yes, I was fishing from shore.
I think most places on the river would be rather difficult to wade right now, most of the fish will be closer to shore anyway.
As far as presentation I was moving the jig in very slowly while lifting it just off the bottom.

Beats getting chased out of the Port...don't it? I fished the sewer out in front of my house today with a Hawg Wobbler dipped in Lindburger Cheese... How you like this one Ed??
