Fished from 4:30 til dark in a shallow water spot ranging from 4-8'. Used jigs and wax worms under floats set between 2-5'. Hooked up with two steelhead both fish still very silver. Also, caught several nice size bluegill, but no crappie. Hope to see an increase in the size and numbers of steelhead in the coming week. Anyone else starting to find the steelhead pushing shallower? Again not asking for your favorite spots just a gauge of the action and techniques working for others to help tweek my presentation.

cjgorman77: I fish from Evanston to North Avenue in Chicago. I too live within minutes of Montrose Harbor and do occassionally fish there as well as the other harbors. I can tell you that what harbor your fishing likely doesn't matter much, all should be holding fish. I would just like to share techniques and catch reports to keep tabs of how things are going in these areas. Go fish anywhere anytime you can.Goodluck
