Went down to the dam again. Water temp dropped to 34.5F approx. From 38F four days ago. That's okay by the weekend the temp will be up and finally just maybe the females will be up at the dam. Anyway about fish caught, just five in about three hours from 5-8 pm. Four of them were 8-10 in. While the bigguy went a whopping 13in. Used my usual vertical no-snag lindy rig w/lg. fatheads.(it's dissapointing when the fish you are catching aren't much bigger than the bait) Anywho goddluck and tight lines, BT

Don't feel bad about the dinks BT, at least you're catching something. I used to fish the Mchenry dam alot but now I fish the Rock river mostly. I've had my share of dinks too. I've weeded through over 50 walleyes this spring and have yet to get one over 14". I keep telling myself its a good sign for the future. I fish close to the dams. I guess the big ones just haven't made it up that far yet.
I hear that water temps around 42-47 degrees really gets them moving. Your reports makes it sound like we are still far from that.
