Some time ago, my brother and I stumbled on a boat launch called Allen Park. We would like to go again this weekend but can't remember how to get there. (from Chicago suburbs) Can anybody help? Has the striper "run" started yet?

Take Rt80 west to exit 90 (Ottawa) Go south thru Ottawa Which is Rt23. You will go over the bridge (Illinois river)Allen park is below the bridge on the west side. River just cleaned up this week. Stripers should start with this warm weather.

I was out in the Ottawa pool today. The river is still up, and fishing is slow. It looks like we might get more rain tonight. If that happens, this weekend doesn't look too good. But, if you get out, let us know how you did.
