20 8 8 8smelthing dosent start till the 1st. of april

Smelt season started statewide March 1st...But it doesn't start in chicago until april 1st...So that mean's you'd have to go north of chicago right now if you want to go drinking all night...But make sure they allow smelt fishing/drinking in the area you might fish...Some of the northern burb's don't want you there...

Saw Chauncey on Fox news this morning talking about smelting. He was at the Planaterium. He had a few(6) in his hand that he was showing to the fox reporters. He also showed his net and the pully system. Said smelting has been better in past years. He did deep fry some and had some sent to the studio:the people liked them.
