Has anyone seen postings down there yet? IL DNR didn't state that Deep Quarry was getting stocked last year in the published statement, but was anyways. Checking to see if it's a for sure thing every year or not...

Yes it was stocked. Bring your combat gear on April 5 and I'm not talking about the trout.

I was there in October for the madness. I can imagine it being just the same.

Deep Quarry Trout

I recomend everyone watch for the guy who fishes mostly the south end, and cathes 3-4 fish then calls on a cell phone for a guy on a bike who comes with a bucket ,and pickups his fish. He then starts from zero and keeps going ! Please call the local Dupage ranger !

We got our limits within 2 hours. Most of that time was spent walking and waiting to get into a decent spot.

1/4oz Kastmasters and Lil Cleos. 4lb Vanish.

Let it sink, slow retrieve.

The 3 of us took out 15 fish, all the same way.

DNR mentioned that Bartlett would start towing cars parked on Army Trail, so about 30 minutes into it, I had to walk back 20 minutes and move my Tahoe, then waited another 10 to find a spot in the lot. What a pain in the neck. I'm going to get dropped off next time.
