Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message
does this send to society and to my children?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

Lets be Politically Correct.
We are in Illinois.
So I called the police and waited for them to serve and protect as I am not allowed to carry a weapon and defend myself or the constitution in this state. The ARRIVE AFTER 20 MINUTES and asses the threat and follow training, call in a special unit to handle the tactical issue and then the parmaedics come and clean up the bodies, then the ACLU attorney takes the gunman into protective custody and a godless liberal protest group shows up for his religious freedom to kill Americans because we invaded Iraq.
Now somewhere else it would go like this.
In WA or FL or ID or MT, well then I would be a good citizen and being well trained and legally enabled in the use of a firearm and legally obligated by the constitution to protect my fellow citizen or family from a foreign invader intent on an act of war (Militia) and my pursuit of Life and liberty.........
I would dispatch the fiend with extreme prejudice and sprinkle pig blood on him to insure many virgins in paradise did not get raped either.
In Oklahoma, Chuck Norris would have saw him coming and roundhouse kicked him into the lap of Allah saving all the ammo for hunting wild boar.
