Do any of you know how I could get started as a Co Angler? Do I need to join a club or something? I really want to fish some tournaments as a co angler this year but have no idea how to go about it. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check out www.ilbassfed.com. There are links there for clubs, you would want one in Region 1. My club is out of Morris, kind of a drive for you. There are a few in your area though.

I fish as a "non-boater" as they are referred to in BASS, FLW uses Co-Angler, in a club. Also I thought I saw a post by Blackhawk Bassmasters about recruiting.

Only my second season, tournaments are fun. Meetings are necessary, I don't know if I'll continue but it's fun.
