My son is 8 and I am trying to get the fishing bug in him. He's mildly interested, and he's caught a few fish, but he needs to feel that thumping on the rod that a nice smallmouth gives.
We are going to Big Green August 10-12.
Any suggestions on getting this kid a nice smallie? Bait, jig color, etc?
