I just read at the dupage county forest preserve website that silver lake at blackwell closes march 15 for ''trout acclimation'' before the lake reopens april 5. at least these trout won't be boiled alive like their autumn predecessors.

If it does not warm up soon they will have to cut a hole in the ice to stock them !

Drove by there on Thursday to check the conditions. This should be a fun time. I plan on taking my boys there on opening day.
