crappies surprisingly shallow and light hitting. all bites at less than 2 foot depth.
little more warm weather they will really turn on. shrimpos caught big gills.

the follow up. saturday was hot for fishing, crappie and gills on shrimpos.
in shallow- west shore- east wind. when the fish bite the least. I couldn't stand it if they were biting any more. may chance the flyrod next week. another time another forum.

news was van drove in evergreen off white oak ramp. 2-3 dead. Folks this is your warning. white oak just runs straight in the lake. not good road to be impaired on.
the guy new years eve was lucky knocked front off car before the water.

I know this is not a fishing report folks, but definitely a report that needs said. Those kids who drove off White Oak Road were wasted. I wonder what their lives could have been if we as fisherpersons would have tried to influence them at an early age with the wonderful sport of fishing? We cannot change them all, but we can change a few. Our Faithful Fisherman Ministry is focused on taking kids without dads fishing/camping. We are a Christian organization and we invite all to join us in reaching young people through the sport of fishing. I spent 15 years on the streets doing what those kids who drove off the road were doing and as I look back it would have been great if an adult would have asked me to go fishing before I went down the wrong road...White Oak Road. there's is a certain irony that the road is also the name of one of the most amazing churches I have ever heard of White Oak Church. Just shows that sometimes the path isn't always good or evil.
