I have never seen an opening day with so few people. When I got there at 5 a.m., there were only 5 boats lined up at the gate. We fished until around 1 p.m. and hardly saw any people....even the shorelines where practically vacant.
I should point out that it was quite breezy, however. By the time we left, the south end had white caps...but we've been out there in much worse. 60 degrees on the cold side....69 on the hot, they were not pumping.
As for the fishing, the Bass were biting just about anything. Most people were getting alot of short fish, with a keeper few and far between. See ya next Sunday...4 a.m for the tourney guys.
