Launched at daybreak and ran to the port and to the hot water discharge at the steelmill. Got 3 browns the 1st hour, two 7 pounders and 1 dink. 1 guy fishing from shore had a pig walleye he got there on a KO wobbler, must have been 7 to 10 lbs. hard to tell from the boat but it was a pig. Nothing more there so we rany to Baileys and got 2 coho there casting and then ran back to the mouth of the port and only got 4 more. Weather miserable. Apparently everybody decided to leave the same time. Talked to 6 boats that where leaving, 3 got none , one got 1 and the other two had 2 each. Talked to a guy taking a creel survey and he said nobody did diddle from everyone he checked. FYI , conservation officers there and I checked with them Re: the new law relating to throwable floatation devices and someone had said cushions dont count but they said as long as the boat cushion is coast guard approved Type 4 its acceptable and only 1 required per boat.
