If the weather keeps up in the 60s it should be another couple of weeks before they start. The buffalo will should start in about two weeks. Buffalo spawn for a shorter time but the carp can spawn for up to 2months. There is no limit on rough fish
You'll know when its time. The water will boil with fish flipping and circuling and rubbing themselves against trees and bushes and shore. Watch shorelines in the morning that get sun first. The water will be warmer there and the fish will be most active there. Last year the spawn was a little harder to pinpoint because of the weather. This year should be fine.
thanks the only problem is fox lake is about a half an hour away so i cant really check it every day and i dont have a license yet not until sept 15 because of that 9 month rule but anyway i have my friend drive me in his pickup so we can throw my john boat in the back.
