yes it is open, saw it on the news here in Champaign. I am going out tomorrow mainly to test out some repairs to my motor that I had done over the winter, but I will fish some if it is not too cold. Will post the results

great news indeed. going down april 18-21st/ limited out crappie in 6 hours the same weekend last year fishing from shore. with the mild winter it should be as good or better. release some bigger crappie to protect the population. if your slaying em' throw back the 9's.

Well I got out to clinton today as I said I would to "test out the repairs on my motor". Lauched at mascoutin, was not on plane for more than 1 minute, heard a terrible crunching sound and lost all power!!!! The idiot who has been working on my boat can not get the lower unit fixed right. This will be the third time I have taken it back. Needless to say I did not get any fishing done, sorry for the lack of info just venting some frustrations

was shore fishing on the dewitt bridge and saw 5 or 6 boats out on the lake. Did not see them get anything though.

Does anyone know which areas of the lake are still closed?

5 Does anyone know if the open area of the Lake includes the warm water arm that normaly is closed till April 1st?

The area between Dewitt and 48 will be closed until April 1.
