I was just reminded that the coffee colored water that brings Chinook fishing to a halt in the fall, contains high levels of sand particles. Salmon don't mind cloudy river waters but don't appreciate the finer points of having sand up their noses or in their gills.

I'm a little early on this (6 months) but if I don't note these bon mots when they occur, I won't remember them when they're needed. CRS is a very debilitating disease.
