Well, I had to do it. All this planning, mapping, buying....ENOUGH! I hit a hole after work where I thought some smallies might be hanging in the cold temps. Half of the hole was still frozen so I only was able to fish about 20 feet of open water. I knew they wouldn't be very active obviously with the cold temps, so getting the bait in their face and making it look attractive was my goal. I went with a senko wacky rigged working it super slow, first a 5" and then down to the 4" after the 5 failed. After about 15 cast I landed around a 12" smallie. He didn't hit real hard, I just went to move the worm again and felt a little weight, didn't realize I hooked him until I saw my line speeding left. Then after about 20 min a landed a 2-3 pound carp. Overall it just felt good to get out!!! Even if my hands were numb.

Way to go :)2 It's hard to be patient when it's so cold.
I'm going to the duper Saturday. Don't care if it's snowing.
Like you said "Can't take it no More".
