DCA 4/5/08

Jon and I put in at the DCA backwaters early this afternoon. We saw quite a few, Jon got a nice one 21-1/2 inches long. Our bowfishing was cut short by the Conservation Police, however, as we were bowfishing in 2 ft of water with no life jackets on board.

Guys you must have life jackets on board no matter what the situation is.

Congrats to Jon on his 1st of the year!!
Yea, no matter the size of the boat make sure it has all the stuff in it you need by law, air horn of some type, PFDs, fire extinguisher and registration. You will see the CPOs out a bit more for the next couple weeks, its prime time for them to write no license tickets.
