Shad are prolific and die in large numbers where ever there are shad. Every year they spawn gobs of fishkill stories all unfounded. It is good they do or #'s would be huge.

The numbers of dead shad are way beyond a natural die-off I believe there was raw sawage dumped into the river system when the Grand Calumet was at flood stage last week.
