I made it down to the fox river with my bow last night. First time ever shooting fish. I shot one and it got off at the shore apparently i didn't stick it too good. I missed a couple.(carp) It was a great time. Hopefully I'll get some better shots.

I don't know any of the Regs but There is a lot of carp rolling and working the flooded area south of Geneva dam (the arch by mill race). Also a little further south by the warm water discharge. I've seen some pretty good size ones while I've been fishing.

Congrats on the first time out! Im sure you will be doing pretty good shortly. Come summer, you are invited to go out in my boat on the Illinois for some flying carp action if you like. Always like seeing new bowfishermen get hooked :)2

Good you got out. The fish will be more active sooner or later.
