Fishin the Western Suburbs....

There are a lot lakes that are in the Western Suburbs, I mean I would offer certain lakes but some are so small that more than a few fishers would overfish the lakes, I live in Bartlett which is just southeast of elgin, and there are tons of lakes in this area, there are also lots of forest preserves to fish, I would suggest if you are fishing for panfish, locate a decent to smaller sized pond that has a water sprinkler, with water wells, a majority of the time these contain lots of panfish and smaller bass, they are stocked by the surrounding neighbors, I had lots of luck with crappie in such a lake on a little black popper and a copper wolly bugger. But its fun! So thats what I would look for, but they are everywhere, look on a map would be your best bet! Tight Lines!
