I never hear of anyone trying for walleyes or sauger around the Dresden Lock and Dam east of the Rt. 47 bridge near Morris. There should be a population of these fish here. Can someone enlighten this fact?

I've gotten crappie there too, no walleye either. just for General info...the Dresden Lock & Dam will remain CLOSED to pleasure boat traffic this year while we are still under hightened security, Commercial & Industrial craft we still be allowed through and I am told by the U.S. Coast Guard that pleasure boats should stay back 100 yards from the Dam as well as the discharge on the Kankakee in the area above the dam.
