has anyone fished the river at turkey run state park in Indiana.....visited it about three months ago. the river looked crystal clear and beautiful...any reply's would be greatly appreciated...is this a good place to fish??

drive a little farther hit shades south of crawfordsville better I hear and less canoes. like to get there end of april to actually fish it before summer. great little town too bike shop and all.

Go there every year for last 5 years and canoe it every time.Alot of nice smallies in there(Sugar creek),some real nice water before you get into turkey run(caught alot of fish wading up from bridge they drop canoers off at). Small,1/32,jigs and twister with crappie minnow works good.Will be there for labor day.
