Gander Mountain has updated their website. Online shopping is now available.

I hope they keep adding stuff. Very limited at the moment, but something that was very much needed. I live 15 minutes away from one, so I won't order online, but its nice to be able to window shop online before going to the store.

Its weird that they don't have any Gander MTN. Brand rods or reels online, you would think they would list that first since they probably make a decent chunk of change off those Items.

wow talk about a premature launch, but same I prefer going to Gander Mtn in Joliet any day over Bass Pro Bolingbrook. The guys working the fishing department are alot like this forum you will rarely get pointed in the wrong direction.

Ty for the update on that site i would have never looked at it again

doubt many of you recall, but in 1993 or so, mayb '94, Gander Mountain got out of the catalog business, preferring to concentrate on their in-store sales.

This resulted in some truly awesome sales :)

A piece ot trivia I find ironic, given their now late entry into internet (the new version of catalog) sales.

Was v. frustrated at their shoddy web presence when trying to do price comparisons on items like Kayaks.

glad to see their improving.

Last year they bought an outdoor catologing company. I can't remember the name of it, but I think it was mostly fly fishing stuff. I remember the news release saying that this would get them back into the online and catlog sales market. I guess its really not a bad turnaround time to be into the game already. I bet it will get much better soon as their goal was to compete with the big boys again.

They bought Overton's on line sales. Years ago Cabelas bought out Gander mtn. iternet and catalog sale's. 93 or 94 I think. In 04 Gander took Cabelas or vise versa to federal court , to get back into internet and catalog sales . Gander won , and bought Overton's , who was little known, they started with boat and trailer parts , and are now expanding to clothes , shoes, and the rest of their in store stuff. I heard they did this so they wouldn't have to discount their brand name stuff. My 2 cents

They do, it's called the "Guide Series"

they've got tackle, clothes, all kinds of stuff...the tackle is cheap and durable, but not of the highest quality. The clothes are nice though (I bought a couple shirts and a pair of pants and they are great)
