Hey everybody,
Thanks to everybody who responded to my Rock Cut State Park Post. Is there any other good places up here in Northern Illinois that have good fishing. I don't expect for anybody to give up there honey hole (haha), just looking for a good place to wet my line. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Independence Grove in Libertyville is a great fishery, all C & R. I think that Lake Carina is open, there is Sterling Lake as well.

I've also heard about this pond thats east of downtown chicago that packs a few fish.

Sterling and Carina are good spots but don't forget Deep Lake, Loon Lakes. If your shore fishing, try Squaw Creek off of Rollins Road in Ingleside or the North Fox River at the Chain State Park. 2
