If i was to leave out of Burns ditch, would I just head towards Gary light house. Is that the discharge that everyone is talking about. Need to find another discharge now that we are being kicked out of the Port. Thanks for the info

Inland steel is quite a ride from the port. You would be better off launching at pastrick marina and heading north or 95th st. and going south.it's hard to miss as its a large facility with a wide slip that goes back about a mile.The closest launch is at wihala park in whiting ( 117th at the lake ) but the small harbor is very shallow right now.If you put in in whiting it's about a mile or so southeast.
