I did not fare all well as last year (February 2020) as I caught less fish and not as many species. I do admit though I did not wander too far so I could have landed more than I ended up catching: 7 golden shiners (roaches), 6 gills and 1 crappie. About the only reason I ended up with more golden shiners than blue gills is because I was using a very small rat finkee which was too large for the really small gills that could not take the hook in. I had several just hanging onto to the wax worm and letting go when I had them near the surface.
Water visibility was pretty good, at least 3 feet easy. Some weeds were tall enough to reach the surface (not that the water is that deep)
