I was down there Wednesday morning at sun up. The turning basin by the boat was full of pack ice but the mouth to the marina looked open. Not sure about inside or the ramps. There were packs of ice floating everywhere from the turn to the hole all the way to gary light. Looked like you could get out if you wove your way around the ice carefully. Saw one boat out near the wall heading towards gary light but then it slowed down real fast presumably avoiding the ice - don't know where they launched out of. Depending on where it shifted it could either be gone or have the marina locked up. Not sure that helps much for today but there was lots of ice inside the turning basin Wednesday morning. Didn't see any boats come out of the marina from 6:15 -7:30.

Well guys we made it out despite the weather. No ice but no fish not even a bump. We found out we were fishing the wrong spot. Should have been fishing the shipping canal and we just fished right out of the marina. Saw one guy lasunching when we were leaving. He said we needed to be at the shipping canal. Oh well
