I am planning to Fish the Morris Pool....Is there a bait shop in Morris....Where??? What street is the ramp off of?? Any hot spots???

Not sure about bait shops but the ramp is right off of Rt. 47 north of the river. Turn either left or right on the road immediately before the bridge and follow the signs to the park. Ramp is in the park, I think it is Stratton Park.

2 2Capt. G If you plan on fishing Morris good luck to you go during the week if it is past fathers day. Fishing not as good as Starved Rock or Ottawa pools but if you put your time in it can be pretty productive.I fished it for about 5 or 6 years but tried Ottawa and Starved Rock last year. Try the island down stream about 2 miles both sides inside for largemouths and river side for smallies. Then go back up river past launch another mile or so and you will see on your left an inlet fish both sides of inlet sometimes alot of smallies can be taken here. Hope this helps. There are other good spots to try in the area if you go out there you will see. Good luck Ranger.
