I lost my wallet along with everything in it including my fishing license. how do I go about replacing it without having to buy a new one?

If bought online you can reprint a copy. If purchased from a vendor here's the instructions from the Fishing Regulations:

STOLEN, DESTROYED LICENSE
REPLACEMENT:
1. Vendors cannot issue a duplicate license.
2. Obtain an Application for Duplicate License or
Permit from a vendor or IDNR office where licenses are sold.
3. Mail completed application plus $3.00 fee . to: Illinois Department of Natural Resources
License Section
P.O. Box 19459
Springfield, IL 62794-9459

PS ; If it was a 2011-2012 license buy a 2012-2013.

go online and print one out for free if its and Illinois license, no problem doing this. I think you need your social security# and bdate, and then print out will not be duplicate it is a s original as any license. If you want to report your license missing that is a different approach....i cant help with that, but I think a call to DNR may help you.

I went to sports authority and the lady looked me up on her data base. She didn't find any record of me even having a 2011 license so she said I would have to pay full amount. I told her that's crazy so she gave me the dnr number. I will call tomorrow and hopefully get this sorted out.

FYI - 2012 license went on sale today (01/16) so you may as well just buy a 2012 one.
