No pictures of the dink fish this time. At first it was full sun and dead calm which had the fish in a non biting mood. I did manage a few dink perch in deeper water hiding in the weeds (I was using a drop shot rig and casting way out). PalosBob joined me and was using a float setup and was not getting any bites but did manage one gill. Once the clouds moved in the fishing picked up. I was still doing better using my drop shot rig but now the fish were much closer in and Palos also started catching them. The strange thing is that we caught two perch to every gill. I cannot remember the last time that perch were the dominant catch. Too bad they were small. Largest ones may have been 6 to 7 inches but most were 5 inches. They were hitting on both wax worms and red worms.
